Wysi (pronounced Whizzy) and Siteglide are two Berkshire based companies working together to offer premium websites to UK small businesses without the high price tags and lengthy development time-frames.

Siteglide is a cloud based platform for managing websites including a CMS, CRM, eMarketing system, eCommerce framework and reporting suite. Wysi build high quality websites onto the Siteglide platform and support Siteglide customers.

In 2008 we looked at how we and the rest of the world were building websites and decided there was a better way. Since then we have invested heavily in 3 things:

1) Client Control
2) Off-the-shelf functionality
3) Premium support.

There are two ends of the spectrum (DIY & Bespoke) and we’ve taken the benefits of each end and created a unique blend of quality, simplicity and value. We have pre-built professional design layouts to reduce build time and therefore cost. We’ve made our websites extremely easy to manage thanks to the powerful Siteglide platform. Finally our backbone is premium support delivered by a small team of professionals based just outside Newbury in Berkshire.

Partner - Sales

Luke co-founded Wysi in 2009 (and Siteglide in 2012) following a year planning the business while travelling the world.

He is mainly responsible for the development of the business including sales and marketing. He also oversees the creative side of the business.

Robert Wakefield

Partner - Operations

Robert co-founded Wysi in 2009 (and Siteglide in 2012) having run his previous web business, One Step Ahead, for 10 years. This was an opportunity to run a family business and adapt to the way the web has changed in those 10 years.

Robert oversees operations and has a background in bespoke development and SEO.

Matt Walter

Matt joined Wysi on a university placement in 2011 and has since returned as a graduate to focus on server-side development and large API projects.

Matt has extensive front-end development skills but really comes into his own when working on bespoke database projects.

Our systematic approach

The Process

ensures a great result every time

We've created a simple process that can get you up and running in a matter of weeks without compromising quality or features.

  1. Choose a Core Website Package

    To keep things simple we’ve created 3 core website packages that fit each of our Siteglide hosting plans. These packages form the starting point of any website and allow you to get up and running on Siteglide with minimal capital investment. View the packages here: Packages

  2. Choose Optional Add-ons

    Although the Core Packages are all you need to get up and running more often than not you will have a specific requirement that relates to your industry or business. We advise you to look through our list of optional add-ons for each Siteglide plan that are broken up into categories and have a simple pricing model. The benefit of this structure is you licence the use of complex technology that has taken over 14 years to build and just pay for the level of features you need.

  3. Add any bespoke functionality

    Our core packages and optional extras cover the majority of services you might need but we know every business is different so we offer bespoke services as well. This is typically more costly due to the planning required and in many cases building from scratch but it can be a great way of handling operational processes or improving sales conversions. One of our clients now runs the majority of their business processes through Siteglide from ordering security equipment to configuring each unit as well as financial management and online support.

  4. Choose your design layout

    We have various design layouts that are already built into Siteglide that are the key to helping projects run smoothly and keeping the costs down. We recommend appropriate layouts but you can choose from our selection and pick the one that suits your business best. It’s worth considering what it will look like with your colours, logo, fonts, content and imagery and ensure it gives you plenty of options in terms of expanding the site. It’s also important to make sure there are subpage layouts that will work for each page you will need. View the layouts here: Design Layouts

  5. Planning Phase

    We send you a Quick Questions document that helps you collate the information required for us to build the site. An important part of this phase is agreeing a sitemap (the pages and any hierarchy in the menu). This is where we need the most input from you but find it’s a very important step in ensuring the site is customised correctly. We will also send you a Content Document that you can use to send us the content for each page and any imagery you would like. We don’t need all the content right away but we will need it during the Build Phase otherwise we will give you full access to the Content Management System to add any extra content yourself.

  6. Build/Content Phase

    We customise the layout based on the Quick Questions document and any other information we’ve agreed on in the Planning Phase. The more information we have the more we can customise it to your requirements. We do need this information at the planning phase and future changes are most likely to incur additional costs.

    While we’re building the site and customising it to your requirements you should be able to work on the content and imagery which is the most important part. We do offer copywriting services to help with this but we find the site works much better when this content is written by the client and then perhaps proof-read by the copywriter.

  7. Cosmetic Amends Phase

    Once we’ve built the site and added any content or imagery supplied to us we will send the site back to you for review. At this point you are able to compile a list of cosmetic changes that you would like us to make. Cosmetic changes include colours, fonts, imagery, content and changes to the sitemap/menu items. We do not make structural changes at this stage as they’re often extremely hard to implement and ensure the site remains fully responsive for mobiles, tablets and desktops. Structural changes are an optional extra that we’re more than happy to discuss with you if one of our layouts need changing or new elements created.

  8. Go-Live

    Once the list of amends has been completed the Siteglide account needs to be upgraded (you would need to start the monthly or annual licence fee with a debit or credit card). We then need to add your domain name to the account and point your domain to it from your registrar (Go Daddy, 1&1, 123Reg etc). It can take a day or two to propagate across the internet but once it has your new website is live!

  9. Siteglide Training

    Siteglide is extremely easy to use but we find some initial training really helps our clients get the most from it and ensure they feel confident using it. We provide a 2 hour online training session as part of the core package price. You’re more than welcome to come to the office for the training if you prefer.

  10. Support, Extras and Self-management

    We know that our job does not stop once the website goes live and we’ve built our business on offering premium support and service. We have created a simple support structure that offers on-demand support at fixed prices as well as ongoing quarterly support packages at a discounted rate. You can also select any of our Optional Add-ons including ones from our chosen partners at any time and add them to your website for a fixed price.

    Most importantly once live you have complete control of your website through your Siteglide login which allows you to edit pages easily, add new content, manage customers, send email campaigns and analyse the performance of each element. Very few systems give you this much control and functionality while making it extremely easy to use. There is 24/7 on-demand help videos and tutorials from within the Siteglide admin area.
